“When I met Neena, I had never worked with an executive coach before and wasn’t sure what to expect. Through our work together, my confidence as a leader has increased tremendously. I have become much more focused on how I can have a bigger impact on the business, what is most critical for my role, and what I need to stop doing to manage my time more effectively. In the last month of our coaching, I was promoted to a position with significantly more responsibility and visibility. I am excited to say that in the first 90 days in my new role, I have been able to drive changes that are already improving our team’s efficiency, effectiveness, and ability to support the business. I already see myself being much more strategic in my choices and decisions, and much more willing to stretch outside my comfort zone.”

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ content left
1. DO YOU WORK ONLY WITH WOMEN?
Typically, 60% to 70% of our clients are women. While we work with high-performing women and men who are being groomed for bigger roles, we focus primarily on women.
2. DO YOU WORK ONLY WITH EXECUTIVES?
Most of our individual coaching clients are vice presidents and above. Our group coaching clients typically have more than 10 years of work experience and are considered high-potential employees. We customize our half-day and full-day Leadership Breakthrough Sessions℠ for individuals at all levels. Our products benefit leaders at all levels but are designed for those who may not have access to an executive coach through their companies.
3. WHO HIRES YOU? THE COMPANY OR THE INDIVIDUAL?
For individual and group coaching, we are hired by the company in almost all cases. We make some exceptions for individuals interested in working with us on a case-by-case basis. We are typically engaged by individuals to deliver customized half-day and full-day Leadership Breakthrough Sessions.
4. WHERE IS YOUR COMPANY BASED?
Newberry Executive Solutions was founded in Houston and is now based in Dallas. We serve both markets.
5. HOW LONG DO YOUR COACHING SESSIONS LAST?
We start with a 90-minute to two-hour Leadership Launch session. During this time, we will work through specific exercises designed to provide clarity and focus for the coaching, and heighten your self-awareness. We will also determine if assessments and 360° interviews should be conducted. If so, we review the results in a Leadership Insight Session and finalize your coaching goals based on what we learn. After that, we will have two one-hour coaching sessions per month to maintain momentum and give you ample time to make progress on your goals in between sessions.

6. TYPICALLY, WHAT TYPES OF ISSUES OR CHALLENGES DO YOUR CLIENTS FACE?
Our clients are typically high performing leaders who:
- Want to demonstrate their readiness for a bigger role (and build more internal support), but may not know how
- Deliver solid results, but need to improve how they achieve the results (e.g., work more effectively with and through others, strategically focus their own time)
- Need to fine tune their leadership skills to more effectively deliver results for the business and advance in their careers
- Want to demonstrate more confidence and capability as a leader
- Need help navigating through a challenging environment: major organizational transition, politically charged, or male-dominated
- May be new to their role or organization and want to set the stage for success
7. WHO ELSE IS INVOLVED IN THE COACHING PROCESS?
Unless otherwise agreed upon, when the company is paying for the coaching we typically have three joint meetings with coachee, manager and HR to ensure that the coachee is set up for success and has the right level of internal support:
- Kickoff – Clarify the coaching process; agree on coaching goals, individuals to interview (if needed), and any assessments; and discuss confidentiality and how we will communicate throughout the process
- Midpoint check in – Assess progress against coaching goals, refocus as needed, and define any action required to further support the coachee
- Final meeting – Assess progress, discuss next steps, and agree on whether the coaching should be extended
